Abstract

The study presents a comprehensive analysis of the dependence of optimal parameters of “Belarus” series tractors on the energy intensity of the agricultural operations performed. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the application of a systemic energy approach to optimizing the parameters of machine and tractor units through the prism of total energy costs, including not only direct operating costs, but also an energy assessment of potential crop losses. The study is based on a series of computational experiments using a verified mathematical model that takes into account the relationship between the main parameters of the tractor (weight, engine power), device characteristics (working width, operating speed) and the energy intensity of various technological operations. The experimental part covers a wide range of agricultural operations: from early spring operations with minimal energy intensity (harrowing, moisture closure) to energy-intensive operations of primary soil cultivation (deep loosening, plowing). Clear quantitative relationships between the specific soil resistance and the optimal tractor parameters have been established. In particular, it has been found that an increase in specific resistance by each kN/m requires a proportional increase in tractor weight by 5.1 kN and engine power by 19 hp. For the first time, a significant differentiation has been established in the nature of the influence of the energy intensity of operations on the optimal tractor parameters depending on the season of work. Based on the obtained results, a scientifically substantiated segmentation of the tractor fleet into three specialized groups is proposed: light tractors (25- 35 kN, 80-150 hp - MTZ series 800, 900) for early spring work (harrowing, cultivation), medium (100-120 kN, 250-350 hp - MTZ series 3000) for direct seeding and disking, and heavy (130-150 kN, 400-500 hp - MTZ series 4000) for primary tillage (plowing, deep loosening of the soil). This segmentation ensures optimal use of the energy potential of the equipment while minimizing total energy costs, and therefore crop losses in various production conditions.
