Currently, a developed terminal-warehouse system has been created all over the world, which includes highly differentiated logistics solutions, such as industrial parks. They act as a driving force for the economy of the regions, which potentially affect the regional unemployment rate, gross regional product and job creation, investment attractiveness and trade volumes. Industrial parks apply modern technologies and innovations in production processes, create conditions for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, and therefore have a positive effect on competitiveness, labor productivity and increased employment, and create a basis for the development of the economic potential of the region. Industrial parks located in 72 regions of Russia provide convenient access to large urban agglomerations and product sales markets. Most of the industrial parks are in the Central and Volga Federal Districts. The balance between domestic and foreign investments in the development of industrial parks is maintained, but from 2020 to 2023, there is a tendency for Russian investors to strengthen their positions. The volume of investments in the development of industrial parks increases every year in all federal districts. Over the past few years, 340 thousand jobs have been created at 4.1 thousand resident enterprises in the Russian Federation, 123.2 thousand jobs have been organized at 1.9 thousand such enterprises in the Volga Federal District, which indirectly reflects the purpose of industrial parks in the context of the development of the regional economy. The total volume of gross regional product of the Russian Federation in nominal and total terms for 2020-2023 increased in all subjects. By more actively implementing projects to create industrial parks, attracting funds to make initial investments in infrastructure development, actively helping and supporting such projects by the regional leadership, clearly developing the concept of creating and developing industrial parks, it is possible to achieve significant growth in the economic potential of each region.
